You may have grown accustomed to receiving a CD each year with resources from National FFA, but times have changed and the Local Program Resource Guide has moved to the web. The LPR Guide has many useful items including the Local Program Success Guide, Award Medal Request Form, and sample degree applications.

No one proves the adage "there aren't enough hours in the day" better than ag teachers.  However, there are many ways we can help ourselves - and our colleagues out.

We all have used the Internet in some way to prepare and present lessons.  There is a huge amount of resources out here - in fact, there is too much.  The time needed to filter through and find the many gems hidden takes just as much time as developing the entire curriculum yourself.  But when we do find something, or create something, that is valuable, we can share that with others - and not only that, share it in an organized and easy to use way.

Using the Oregon Resource Share or the NAAE Community of Practices, you can share the websites, worksheets, or PowerPoints you use.  And you can browse what others have shared to find new ideas or new resources for your teaching.

Try it out right now - click on the button above (Oregon Resource Share), and browse the few items already posted.  Look by category or search a keyword  Then take it a step further, and login to OVATA and post something of your own - a worksheet, a PowerPoint, or a website link you use in your classes.  By every one of us taking the few minutes to do this, we'll be saving each other a great deal of time in the future.

NOTE - it is unconfirmed, but we believe you have to have Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla Firefox for the Resource Share to work correctly.  If you have any problems, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Start sharing and searching today!

Recently this winter the NAAE has created a web-based community for Agriculture Educators across our profession to weigh in on questions, tips, resources, ideas, and support. At NAAE convention in December, attendees were encouraged to create profiles online and begin the sharing, exchanging, and mingling of our profession. It is quite easy to do, and currently on the web there are discussion boards, resources, and information on the numerous topics. To see a listing of topics, click on http://naae.ca.uky.edu:8080/clearspacex/index.jspa and JOIN THE COMMUNITY!
